Mayan Indian Village Update

Mayan Indian Village in Southern Mexico
Dec. 8, I met Kody Kostenko and we set up the sanctuary together during a very important time of his life. (Wedding) As we neared the end of the program, the rest of the family and friends arrived and yet we nearly finished the condensed form of the Sanctuary program. God had led us to do this program plus told us there would be a second series to do before leaving for Africa.
God led several to seek a closer walk with Him in Mexico.
Jenny and Kyle arrived having left the minute the last final exam ended at WWU. Kyle expected to find more ocean opportunities yet the things we found on the internet regarding Limones were not true.
We helped with many details of wedding prep and took pictures which we will upload next under different title.
By Dec 20 and 21, God was helping us find His second site for work. We did it near Limones and discovered many who speak Mayan. We were thrilled as we listened to them singing in their native tongue. They even have Bibles in Mayan. Of course it is best if we speak that but our translator knew Spanish so we worked in that language.

There were a total of 14 who were interested in baptism as we closed our small 6 day series. They gave us so many gratitude gifts. A nice meal of tamalies was prepared. Special frozen fruit desert without milk was made and a beautiful guitar was given to Kyle. WOW! It is a nice sounding one. He is thrilled and played Amazing Grace for me. I loved it! Reminds me of when Ron played for me years ago.

Kyle helped set up and take down equipment and made sure the quiz prizes got into the hands of the children and adults who answered the questions. It was such a precious thing to have my son along. It has been 31/2 years. It was with a grateful heart that there were friends who fixed things up so nicely and gave us more food than we could eat. They transported us to meetings daily. They insisted on watching our little dwelling to make sure nothing happened to us or God's tools.

One person who came to clinic said God took away all her pain when I prayed. She was healed.

Others were so delighted for the glasses they received that they brought fruits from their gardens.
There was a special blessing on the last 10 flights which helped me make it through the travels. I was bumped up to the part of the plane where the seats are wider, and can recline. I am so thankful to God for this comfort. There is also more liquids and foods offered.
God takes such good care of me. I praise His name.
ANOTHER VILLAGE
Two men came on motor bikes to get glasses in clinics. They came back for meetings and gave their hearts to Jesus and requested baptism plus the meetings in their own village. They received tracts and books and DVD with great rejoicing in the truth. Who knows how far the seeds of God will travel when we sow beside all waters as Jesus requested.
MORE PRAYER
There was more prayer and Bible preparation done this evangelistic series. God told us that success is proportionate to that. There were more miracles that God did to help in all the efforts. Some day we can tell them all.
There was a rainbow and pillar of cloud while I was praying with some women regarding God's second site for us to work. We kept looking for the place. We thought we had it all lined up and the moment that door closed, God placed the most amazing rainbow in the sky that doubled and trippled. I knew He was working on the answer. We kept praying.
We had only seconds from the time of one possibility being checked out to the time we delivered the first message of the series. Word of mouth carried the advertising quickly for us when they learned there were free glasses in clinic. We had 35 people the first day. We enjoyed the love of these people. We ate in their homes and prayed with and for their loved ones. We had more food than we could eat.
When Jenny translated for me it was a strange feeling. I had taught her Spanish! Now she was quicker in it. I had lost my fluency and later began thinking and dreaming in it again. The people were surprised when I began visiting with them. Someone had told them I knew nothing of Spanish!!! Funny! That makes people feel they can speak freely about you.
They loved us in that second location and we loved them.
Ten people came to place us in a sweet little home across from Lulu and Daniel. They all had one purpose. (Our comfort) It was so sweet. Then at the end they all wanted to help us to the airport. God blessed our efforts.
You can read more of the story on facebook.

We pray that God will help those wanting baptism be able to receive it soon. Names were left with responsible people who promised to make sure there was good follow up. It was vacation time for those who are responsible for baptisms.

Remember to pray for the African program in the Rift Valley now. Meetings are starting soon. I am writing from Amsterdam on my way there. I am thrilled that Elisha will help me arrive there. He will meet me at the Nairobi airport and drive me plus God's sanctuary to Nakuru. You will hear about it in 2 weeks if not sooner when I find internet in Nairobi on the way to fulfil the request in Rwanda.
Your fellow colaborer in the Master's Vineyard,
Dr. Rose

Update from Pola, Mindoro Philippines and God's next projects

RE: Jungle village of Pola in Mindoro, Philippines, Thanksgiving Walla Walla University break time.
AFRICA Need: TICKET IS ON "HOLD" AWAITING FUNDS TO DO THE SAME PROGRAM IN RIFT VALLEY KENYA, Africa Nov/Dec 2011
Donations can be done as details show in How to Help section to the right in this blog. Paypal takes a fee but Missions Unlimited is doing the service free. PRAISE GOD! FUNDING is on its way. The held tickets were dropped as funds are not in place yet. The effort is rescheduled for Dec. 29 starting up time in Africa rift valley. Thanking God for the answered prayer Rthat we can do this work for Him in the Rift valley. I am pleased to discover Elisha Langat will also be there in that time frame visiting home from his place in USA.
If Jenny goes for the start up time up to classes of Spring quarter, we need another 2,000 for hers. She would hold evangelestic meetings for the youth and doe eye examinations, intraoccular pressures and give out eye glasses. This is a great help to my clinics and meetings. We are deciding for her based on funding.
STORY FOR POLA EVENT JUST FINISHED:
From here to there, we (Jenny and I) did a lot of walking, flying, ferry time, motor bike, canoe, tricycle, and van travels. The big sanctuary set was moved by friends in the Calima church where it was stored by a member since June. It went by road while Jenny and I went on a shortcut down a path, over a river and road because the sanctuary took up all the space in the vehicle.
We were happy with the response and appreciation of the little church group which grew while we were there. The sanctuary has a way of planting the seeds in a stronger way because of all the graphics and the model.
FOLLOW THE LAMB SEMINAR is finished now in Pola, Mindoro, Philippines. So many precious memories are in our hearts. The sweet smiles of the helpers in clinic, and their joy at finding remedies to help others with, was satisfying. The Mission training seminar on the weekend was well attended. Jenny told many of her success stories of things that are quite simple and easy for anyone to do.
Jenny and I Just finished a Philippines medical evangelism effort in the Philippines in a little fisherman village in Mindoro called Pola. It was a fun way to spend Thanksgiving doing medical exams and 3 meetings a day with 5 on Sabbath. We had 9 baptized and many made commitments. Heavy rain brought a relaxing clean sound and plenty of water. I like the reminder of the symbol of the Holy Spirit being poured out for these last days. God is doing that. I see Him moving in a big way.
Jenny was surrounded with children. It was God's blessing to me for on November 1, 21 years ago Ron and I lost a son. It is therapy to me to share the gospel with and be around many children on that anniversary. In heaven we hope for many children to join us at our reunion in our home there.
I need to get some light on the sanctuary into Kenya in the Rift Valley. I have a ticket on hold and am waiting for God to provide.
I was very encouraged to hear that the village near by of Calima in the Philippines still has a full house of worship because of the work we did there 6 months ago. The Megavoice Bibles are a very strong thing in fortifying people for the final days. There is so much trouble with computer games occupying the children's time that those Bible are a real blessing.
I saw in the Seattle airport a station where one can speed recharge batteries of phone, ipod and ipad. The fee is 3 dollars. I thought about my own body recharging. God is faithful to me at almost 60 years. It is really a miracle how He speed charges my battery. I love to study about the life of Jesus while traveling in the airplane. The Kindle helps me do that. I really desire to love people like Jesus and spend each day as though it were my last day and last chance to win souls for the kingdom of heaven.
Arnold generously used his tallents for Jesus for creating another sanctuary. (furniture portions) I am needing another set but am waiting for God to provide for that one. I can move easier on these flights with limited luggage constraints. The other nice beautiful wooden set seen on this blog site is over 500 pounds and very difficult financially for moving it.
This newer set is of tent poles and plastic picture tarps. I praise God for this which will immediately be traveling to preach the WORDS truth for these last days.
As we come to the end of the year, we know we are another year closer to the coming of Jesus.
I am hoping you will remember to pray for the need to get some light on the sanctuary into Kenya in the Rift Valley. I have a ticket on hold and am waiting for God to provide. All is packed and ready to go. The ticket is on "hold" awaiting funds. It is in the hands of God. He has heard me pray about this for several months. I am hoping to get some Final Events DVD to take. The location is near Baraton University where we have a friend Danny Harlimana.
Thanks for your prayers.
Jenny is back in the University of Walla Walla. She is in the last weeks of the quarter studying hard. She wishes she could go with me. Thanks for helping and praying for the 3 Angels messages to be heard around the world so Jesus can come sooner.
Dr. Rose
Like pictures? Let me know . Please pray daily at 6AM for us. We are praying for more of God's Holy Spirit and to be more like Jesus daily. That way we will have a deeper love and greater wisdom to reach the precious people He has created before the door of mercy is closed.
Pray for the December program in Mexico. Things are coming together.

Medical Evangelism In Pola, Mindoro

During the short Thanksgiving break from Walla Walla University studies, Dr. Rose and daughter Jenny are headed to do daily medical evangelism. There will be hours daily where people can have medical checkups and eye exams. If the need is there, people will obtain a pair of free glasses. These are available because of generous donors.

Those who are attending meetings and answering quiz questions, will have a chance to receive DVDS that have testimonies of answers to prayer in the lives of Dr. Rose and Jenny. These are eye witness stories of God's power. In the time that Jesus lived on this earth, each miracle was designed to make important lessons. The man who had been healed of so many years of being crippled was healed on the Sabbath and told to carry his bed to publish the act. Lazarus was raised from the dead after 4 days to make it clear that only God's power could do this and he was really dead. Many did not believe in the resurection. It was a very powerful lesson. Jesus multiplied the bread in a little boys lunch to show it is His power that provides for us continually. Just in case we might have missed the lesson, it was chosen to feed a crowd that was beyond all human possibilities. Today, as God is doing miracles in my life, I search for lessons in each one. It does not take much searching in most cases. If you have had a chance for one of those 52 story DVDS, it will be a faith builder for your life. If you want one and have never seen one, let me know and between mission trips, I will try to get one to you. (If you are in USA) In other countries, you will need to come to meeting where Dr. is speaking.

If the funds are enough during this Philippines medical evangelism event, there is a plan for each who decide to commit their life to Jesus and follow His example in baptism, those will be ones who can have a Bible. If there are any available, the Tagalog Megavoice Bible will be given.

Flight begins early this morning. After reaching Manilla in the night, our host friends will help us to the Batangas pier where we will take a long ferry. Then we will be met by Pastor and travel to the village. Immediately we begin clinics and the evening meetings. We plan to do morning and evening meetings plus clinics till no one is left wanting to be seen.

After Sunday noon, we will begin the car, then ferry, then overnight and fly early back to Jenny's classes at WWU. She will miss only the morning classes yet she will arrive while it is still morning and hurry to her harp lesson and afternoon lab.

We are praying daily and every hour for God's Holy Spirit to empower this program God has already blessed. He showed His favor in providing already for tickets as I returned from Africa. Tickets were purchased just 2 days before departure.

Thanks for praying daily for God's Follow the Lamb Seminars. Remember that there were only 3 wise men and a few shepherds plus Anna and Simeon in the temple who were given the blessed news of the arrival of the heavenly Dignitary Jesus Who came as a baby just as the prophesies said. Today, God is faithful to warn all of His soon approach again.

We pray that we will help hasten that soon coming by sharing the good news to all who will listen. Thanks for supporting with your prayers and donations.  Also you can help by encouraging signing up to this blog.
If you are giving for Bibles please make sure you send an email to specify this.

Homeward out of Africa

Nov. 16/17, 2011
Greetings from Kenya, Africa as I wait for my late night flight to Netherlands and on to connect with Jenny who will help me with a short event in the Philippines.

So many are now hoping for the soon coming of Jesus because of these efforts of meetings in Kigali, Rwanda, and Bugema Uganda. Our God is faithful to warn those sincerely hungering after truth. Just before Jesus was born on this earth, wise men were studying and were shown the star to find Him. The shepherds were told because they wanted to see Him come. Now as we are in the last days, Jesus is sending me to places where He can call His sheep. So many do not care that we are in the final days. They are busy with movies/shows, concerts, studies, and too busy to get the sin out of the life and keep His commandments. I see so many signs in the troubled hearts, the tribe wars, the anger among professed Christians, and in volcanic eruptions and other natural disasters. Jesus is coming soon.

PRAY FOR GOD TO PROVIDE FOR NEXT EVENT OF MEDICAL EVANGELIM IN PHILIPPINES He has asked for us to do. We need this help in the next 48 hours. Praise God the prayer was answered in 24 hrs before flight.

VOLCANO
I Just moved out of an area of Africa (Uganda and Rwanda countries) near a huge volcanic eruption that is ongoing right now in Democratic REpublic of Congo  across the border of Uganda and Rwanda. The news shows the lava shooting up over a thousand feet into the sky. The fire seen on the news is amazing. They claim it is making records for its force in this eruption. I just found this news on Yahoo. Thankfully it did not hinder my flight home. God does direct my going and coming. "Angels attend the steps of those who go and come at God's command" DA 48  . I always ask God when to go and when to return. God has His own time schedule and has the right to send his soldier (me) anywhere He wants at any hour that He wants. I have told Him to manage all my time and my schedule. This volcano is making a record right now in DRC.

Arrival back in USA
There was a very kind couple Karin and Steve Terry who picked me up at the airport and gave me a warm welcome at their home near the airport. The lentil soup and olive bread was just what I needed at the end of the long, tiring trip. God is good all the time. I see Him giving me a great team of support to help me optimize all energy possible to win souls. Karin even offered to help with housework. That is a great blessing and greatly appreciated. There are so many DVD making demands on me to record all the holy memories of what God has done. Every miracle is His designed package of instructions for future steps in HIs work. These are also faith builders in those who come to the meetings. They receive quiz prizes of DVDS of past stories. I have seen God raise the dead, cast out demons, heal the sick people, laptops, projectors, cars, and stand above me in a pillar of fire when life threatening events happen. I have seen Him call audiences by telling certain ones I am coming. I have had Him give me directions to move quickly into a country where I do not know where I am going and just show me a mountain. Then He helps me find the mountain. God is leading. Jesus is coming soon. All that we can do to help win souls can hasten His coming.
Next trip is Nov 20 to Palo. Remember to pray daily for the honest to find the truth and the sick to be helped by Dr. Rose and assistant and future doctor Jenny.

Africa Stories

RWANDA, Kigali meetings are finished.
The Follow the Lamb Seminar sanctuary meetings in the University for Adventist Laymen finished with a nice baptism in the trailer which was placed next to the school. Ten precious souls were baptized. Among them was a little 10 year old boy who was so determined to be baptized that he instructed his mother she better not stop him for he had to be ready to go to heaven.
He was so happy at the baptism. He was helping to get the water into the tank.

Another university student was troubled with family resistance and a threat of loss of school fees but she was set free to take baptism as she wanted just the morning of the baptism. She had quite a story to tell.

Just before going to the 2nd African country, Uganda, I saw a rainbow in the clouds that was shaped like a fish. When I took pictures, I noted many fish in the sky shaped in lighter colors during the sunset.
Well, it was such a pleasure on Sunday to see 21 precious souls baptized on Bugemma University campus by the church pastor we had seen in 2006. He was very happy to do the baptism.
Among those baptized were 8 out of families who are not believing in Jesus. They want special prayers for helping their families to understand.
I wanted to have God help me pick 2 out of the 21 who should get the Luganda audio Bibles prepared by Gospel Outreach volunteer, friend, Gary. I asked for them to express a special thanks. So few remember to really express their gratitude for they are all cold and wet and rushing for changing their clothing. One young man came who had cars all over his shirt. Another man came to say thanks who had been very sick and God healed him. He had been sent home by the nurse yet refused to go because he wanted baptism. After special prayer for him, I heard him tell me how God lifted his sickness off from him. He also drank the charcoal I gave him. He was about 5'10 inches tall and I think he was a senior. He was very attentive to meetings.
Last night as I left Uganda, I entered and Dr. Kisunzu's wife was checked for intraoccular pressures. Dr. Kisunzu told the security guard to also get his checked. Then others came and still more till I had checked airlines personel as well. It was fun. They really helped with my bags, and escorted me always looking out for me.
Both locations, (countries) received DVD of stories of what God has done as well as Sanctuary lessons done in another place. Though it is in English, most of these people are catching 90 percent of what is being said.
I praise God for Steven traveled with the sanctuary by bus on road to prevent my cost of 3 dollars a kilo for 3 65 pound bags. He was a great help. I was also happy to have Homer come for a day to help. Wish he had come at the beginning for when he was baptized in Bukavu, there was tribal wars that broke out between pastors and members and I only got to do 5 days of meetings. He has remained faithful to keep Sabbath even when persecuted for it in his schools. So many schools are forcing Sabbath studying and schooling.
1. STORY: LITTLE BOY WHO WON A DVD IN OUR MEETINGS 6 years ago.
It is not a good thing to give to a tiny child's hand, I was thinking as I put a Final Events DVD in the hand of a tiny boy. What if he plays with it, gets it wet, or scratches it? I remember how tormented I was that day as I saw there were more wanting the DVDS than I had. I felt the big ones should get it first.
One little boy received a Final events DVD for his drawing when he was 3 years old in 2006 in Lukanga University at meetings held by Jenny, Kyle, Ian and Dr. Rose. Another child was 5 years old. NOW 6 years later, I just met the father who tells me that the DVD has been carefully preserved and shared. Mother does translations and tells others of the texts pointing to the final events of this earth.  Every Friday when there was electricity, they spend time watching it again. Often the home is full of visitors to also see it. From this DVD placed in the hands of a child--so many have been helped for the last 6 years.
IN FAITH, I HAVE MADE DVDS of experiences of what God has done for me. There are 52 of them. It is exciting to see people who treasure God's power. "Spiritual things are spiritually discerned". God has used these to bring in more of the family to also choose the truth. It is a great thing to watch. God tells us that if you win one soul, that one brings at least 5 more. God works on multiplication.
The father of this family was in Dr. Kisunzu's home waiting for his surgery on a growth under his chin. It was my chance to hear some feed back on past work done for Jesus. When we thought we had done so little, our little in the hands of Jesus was multiplid like He did with the bread to feed 5,000.
IN FAITH, any funds I can use out of the home budget is for purchasing blank DVDS. When I get the chance, I do 3,000 copies of my Sanctuary program and put them in envelopes. These copies take up my time but God helps me.

2. STORY: PATIENT WHO CAME TOO LATE FOR SERVICE in Congo
Lukanga University in Democratic Republic of Congo was given Follow the Lamb Seminar and the dean of the school of Theology Dr. Kavis translated for me. (January 2006) He also translated in clinics. He was very happy with the program and saw the results. It was broadcasted on the radio. Many came after hearing of free services on their radios. When they arrived, they missed their chance for the doctor was already gone.
One woman was a relative of Dr. Kisunzu where we stayed while doing evangelism in RISTAKA High School. This relative had a cripling condition in one leg. It took her a long time to move to Lukanga for help. She was extreemly disappointed. She asked around what I might have taught some one else with a similar condition. She heard of the use of charcoal and hoped it would help in her condition as well. She worked hard to apply it daily to her leg. She was so excited to find full use again of her leg. She is really happy and says she was helped by me because of what I did to help another.
Here is another example of God multiplying the effort we did for Him.

3. STORY: Genocide memories of 1994
A person told of his going through the genocide and the shock of the surprise that friends would fail to assist when they could. One told of being in a hospital and offered a bed if he would lie and tell of a made up sickness. He refused to lie. He walked around all night watching and noticed a certain tribe of people were absent and he began to fear all in the hospital would be killed. Later it was his concern to rescue one woman who had a little baby and others from his country in DRC. He realized they were soon to die and he pulled them out the window. Others inside where pulling on the legs to keep them inside. The woman's husband had already escaped. After getting about 5 out, he put them in safety and was commanded to go and watch. He refused to help because he was against killing. He told of the horrors he saw with his own eyes.

4. STORY- another person telling genocide memories of 1994
Another person told how her father was an evangelist and fled to be safe at headquarters for the church. A person betrayed them and called the soldiers and all pastors were murdered. She went from home to home without anyway to feed and protect her daughters but each home locked the door in her face. These were people who were "friends" and "Christians".  The horrors of the genocide survivors continue in their hearts when they see someone get up and preach who never asked forgiveness. There was one woman who walked so many miles to a relative's home because the soldiers demanded about 20 dollars for a ransome. The "Christian" relative had the money but refused to help so she was murdered in front of them by the soldiers. The relative was watching as her corpse was tossed into a ditch near them.
God says the end of time will be worse than the world has ever seen. The world has seen horrible things. When the Spirit of the Lord is withdrawn from those who do not want the Bible to be applied in their hearts, such crimes as the world has never seen will continue.

5. STORY - - 96 and 97 year old tells her stories of the genocide. She and husband were stripped naked and ran to hide in a cave with no food or water for several days. God sent help and even gave the son a dream of what happened. He went to find his parents. There was a place she prayed daily. It was outside and she kept it swept clean and visited that place often. God has seen the atrocities done by family members to each other. God knows it is time to get His people.

We can do our part in hastening His coming to end all sickness, war, betraying, death, and torturing.
We can share what God has done for us. It is heaven's most powerful witness. It is a powerful tool. We should praise God daily and help push back the tide of evil sweeping over the world in these last days. Reach out to help and rescue the perishing, care for the dying. Jesus can save now while the door of mercy is still open. Revelation 16 is coming soon as the door closes on this world's probation.

AFRICA JOURNEY AS GOD HAS REQUESTED

AFRICA JOURNEY
My God can do anything!
God asked me during May to go to Africa in second week of October. He appointed return trip to be Nov. 16.
HUSBANDS FAITH URGED ME TO MOVE
My husband asked me why I was still asking for more signs from God when it obviously was His will. I said it was because our son Ian is at home. My husband mentioned that Ian is a man of 24 yrs. God knew he would be home when He asked me to go to Africa. So what was I waiting for? I was encouraged to trust God through the words of my husband who is working hard after his brain surgery in July. He was down for some time and funds have caved in for keeping our 4 children in college.  God will help.
I also hesitated because no action was communicated on the venue details. My husband inspired me to trust God for directions as I move in faith.
I went online to book my flights. I asked God to awaken me because I failed to book online in the evening. I was exhausted. God woke me at 3AM and with a short phone call all was ready and booked into Kenya only.
THEN CAME A BIG SURPRISE! IT IS NOT YET CONFIRMED BUT THE TIMING Of THE MESSAGE TAUGHT ME GOD WAS IN THIS THING. Story is a bit later in this letter.
A HELPER /team member IN KENYA IS LOANING TILL I ARRIVE : FUNDS FOR ONWARD AFRICAN FLIGHT
There is a friend in Kenya who has bought the tickets expecting funds returned when he picks me up at the airport and gives lodging and transport in Kenya during a 20 hr lay over. This family hosted us several times as we passed through to Rwanda in the past. His parents hosted us in Chepkumia in northern Kenya in the Rift Valley. God has many team members who help this missionary go and come. It gives me a chance to share the great things God is doing all over the world.
Then I will go on to do the gospel meetings and giving megavoice Bibles to those who are baptized at the end of meetings. That flight usually costs between 387 dollars to 400.
AMAZING TIMING TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD
A miraculous thing happened when in faith I booked my flight with free miles to Kenya and home round trip. A professor in Bugema Uganda asked if there was a chance I could come there for a local church project where there is a need for building, medical and evangelism. I could go there on November 1 round trip it out of Rwanda and back to Rwanda. I could give them a 2 week medical evangelism series. I do not have Swahili Megavoice Bibles or Luganda language yet but it is being overnighted to me from Gospel Outreach. Plans are not confirmed with his boss yet as the school is having graduation time and schedules are hectic.
I prayed about it and God said, "YES".
I asked if it would be dangerous to go by road from Rwanda, and God said, "NO".  Steven took the sanctary items over that road and the bus broke down twice and they had to wait till another came. Though Satan had roadblocks the work got done.
Furthermore, there was a rainbow colored fish shape in the sky a couple days before going there. It made me think of going fishing for souls. There were some there and a very special group I will never forget. They had tears in their eyes as we left there.
God has shown me over and over, I must trust Him for directions, for protection and for supplies and tickets. He has a million ways to get His work done, of which we know nothing.
GOD IS IN CHARGE OF MY SCHEDULE
HE IS THE ONE WHO CALLED ME. HE TRAINED ME AS A DOCTOR AND EVANGELIST.

WHERE'S TIGER?

WHERE IS TIGER?
What happens to our animal friends, or pets, when we are asked by God to go to another country to share the Bible? Well when you read this story you will realize that the God of the Universe who created and gave us animals to love even remembers to help us when we can't be home to care for them. He even cares for my flower garden. He waters my plants and keeps them from freezing long past the time other things are destroyed by the cold weather. Look at this amazing example of God's love and care.
A sweet cat, Jenny called Tiger, was so loving. Jenny had him from when he was a kitten in 2004. When we returned from a mission to Mexico in 2005 in September, we left for a short trip to town. Upon return we found big fire trucks spraying the ground where our house used to be. The Red Cross gave us lodging and worked with the Inn to allow cat and dog. But the cat disappeared. We feared he had been eaten by coyotes.  We were amazed how God helped the pets out of the burning home. Even sheep had protection when the fire jumped the pen and avoided the trees in their pen. The fire went on burning 6 acres.
Tiger was such a special kitten. It was a huge disappointment to the little girl of 14 who had given so much to Jesus on the mission trip, and then her flute was burned and her little kitten plus her special Bible was destroyed. Does God care when we are hurting? Oh, yes. We were housed in several places and 9 months went by before a home was ready on our land enough for the kitty cat.

Little Tiger
The fire burned the home so fast, we wondered how Tiger ever made it out in time. We were so worried and Jenny was crying so hard the fire fighters feared a person had perished in the fire. She tried for a long time to find Tiger. Heart broken, she shed a few tears at night for the kitten who used to sleep on her bed with her.
Poor Tiger. It was figured that some wild animal had eaten Tiger.

·         Six years later in September of 2011 we compared stories with the neighbor that watches our dog Patches while we are on missions. She has a cat she calls Larre that asked for lodging right after our house fire. He gets along perfectly with our dog Patches. Larry sure looks like the older version of Tiger. He came right to me and is afraid of most visitors. The story makes us quite sure it is the same cat.

·        The neighbor said Larry cat arrived some years back with a bad respiratory condition. When it sneezed black stuff flew everywhere. He was so sick, she took him to the vet. He must have had inhalation damage from the house fire.
Another clue makes us think it is the same cat. He had a bad habit of jumping from behind a chair or from under the bed grabbing onto her leg and hanging on like she was a tree. It was not vicious, it just was hanging on. The surprise was irritating. She would yell from surprise and let him know it was not appropriate. This was taught by our sons in play with her. I did not enjoy such surprise but they thought it was fun. She broke him of this game.
The neighbor Brenda has several dogs and so Larry stays in a bedroom and hides from all people and dogs. Once in a while Larry comes out and runs all over with the smallest dog. One day he was mad at the small dog and Patches and swatted them when they walked by. That was the end of the fight.
HOW DID WE FIND TIGER?  HOW DID WE GET TO KNOW OUR DISTANT NEIGHBOR?
Our dog Patches did not like the kennel I was using so he went to the same house where Larry is lodged and asked if he could be living there when I am gone. Now for more than a year, every time the suitcases are brought out to begin packing, Patches wants to run to the neighbor's home in fear he might be taken to the kennels he hates.
The neighbor is a very kind animal lover who welcomed him and gave me a call. The tags on Patches indicate who he belongs to. She wants to put another tag on him as well so that when we are gone, she will be called and can rescue him. Patches is a cocker spaniel who loves children and loves to go find other dogs to socialize with. He has grown up with the freedom to roam over 60 acres of land belonging to us and vacant lot beside us plus about 1000 acres behind us. He is terrified if he is restrained in an enclosure and digs out of everywhere and even bends metal fences to escape. He loves people and fears being left behind.
My precious neighbor  refuses pay and does the cooking for ours and other dogs she has. She is a stay at home person who has a husband who had brain surgery so she must be very attentive to his needs. Her husband adores Patches and is teaching him to shake hands.
The neighbor says she is part of our mission projects by caring for our beloved pets. She feels it is her God given task.
Patches really loves to play with the cat Larry and she wondered why. When I was picking him up after a mission this spring, I saw the cat and he came right for me. I took Jenny there a couple weeks ago and she is sure he is her cat. He is in an animal heaven. There is so much love for him where he is. God fixed this story to a good ending and settled in Jenny's heart a question she had with the sorrow of loosing all her belongings. God does care. ALOT! He did what was best for the whole family and the cat and the people we stayed with while our home was being fixed up.
The cat has really been missed but it is more difficult to transport a cat back and forth to one who will care for him. At the time of the fire we had not met our neighbor. She came by and offered housing but we took another offer.
My loving dog is missed when I am gone. But God cared for this important detail.  To part with a loving pet is one of the many sacrifices for going on mission for God. God will probably give extra loving animals in heaven. A bird, cat, dog, dolphin, or whatever will bring us joy. The greatest joy will be to see Jesus.
God always provides for all our needs (Phil 4:19)

RED RIBBON OVER MT DIAMOND PNG

RED RIBBON
RED RIBBON OVER DIAMOND
"THE RED RIBBON had special meaning for us" Bob  greeted us with these words as I awakened and came from the Wagi's guest room. We are sheltering you from danger and all harm.
A chill of terror went through me. What more is coming on us? Satan was on the war path. We already knew he was. The whole month of August was trouble for God's work .   I had struggled for 7 days to reach the Mt. Diamond assignment. We were thrown off the airplane in Manila for too much luggage and demands of 3,000 USD for getting back on was one big headache. It did not end there, for there was also the issue of no return ticket purchased to Manila from Moresby. We had friends who came to our rescue after we had been plenty trouble. Now what was Bob inferring? He said their home would be sheltering and hiding the two women like Rahab hid God's 2 brave men. I wondered where we would go if he changed his mind. I wondered who all was in the opposition party and which ones were pliable and which ones were betraying.
We prayed and God impressed us all we could do was make sure we were over at the medical clinic as much as possible even up to midnight.
The Bible tells of two spies who found refuge in the home of a woman  of low moral standards. She had many male partners.  She told these spies of Israel she must hide them on her roof under flax. She said that all in her city knew about the powerful God of the Israelites.  She promised to help them escape for they had been noticed. She hid them under flax. The spies barely escaped death as she sent the soldiers chasing one direction and then let the spies over the wall with a red cord. They were to hide three days and then go home. For her bravery, she would be saved when they destroyed the city of Jericho.
Joshua 2:18       Behold, [when] we come into the land, thou shalt bind this line of scarlet thread in the window which thou didst let us down by: and thou shalt bring thy father, and thy mother, and thy brethren, and all thy father's household, home unto thee.
In the morning of the second day in PNG, as I came out of the bed room, Mr. Bob Wagi had finished his devotion reading and prayers. He smiled and said he had a very special new meaning to the story of the red ribbon. His home would have the red ribbon and salvation was come to their family. Then he said in fact it would cover the whole Mt. Diamond school.
The school board had met and approved our week of prayer and the invitation was given back in May of 2011. Some steps were left unfinished which had nothing to do with us but was an unintentional mistake. We learned there was protocol issues and rumors flying and negative phone threats. Opposition was later fixed and we were accepted very nicely when Pastor Rice met and approved us. Some steps were not done appropriately and it was embarrassing to those who invited us. They were sorry. Pastor Rice was from Australia. Yet, even after the approval some held onto some bias against us and tried to stop students from baptism. We saw a rainbow each night for seven nights and a beautiful lit up cloud over the tabernacle. God helped all 128 students get baptized. There was also a lawyer and some parents of students.
Students and faculty appreciated the meetings. The red ribbon continues to be on Mt. Diamond.
The principal promised that anytime we are in the area, they would give us lodging.
Red ribbon is a sign that though we have sinned He has mercy and pardon. The house of Rahab had salvation because of her action to protect.  Red is a symbol of the blood of Jesus covering our sins. Though she was breaking commandment number 7, on adultery, she wanted salvation and God gathered her among his people and taught this family the way to prepare for living in heaven among those who do not sin.
  Salvation came to her house.
Salvation came to the Waggi home as well for Elana May (named after my brothers wife) was baptized. The school had a record breaker of conversions. There were 128 students plus these students went to their homes and convinced their parents of the truth. Many brought in their families. A lawyer also was baptized and brought his son and then brought many others to come listen. There were 7 baptizing pastors.
Many flew in from other parts of Papua New Guinea and from other countries for the big event. There was great rejoicing that they had braved through the opposition and kept us there.
We had prayed and felt impressed to do as Jesus did. He spent more time healing than preaching. We worked many extra hours beyond our endurance even up to midnight. God helped us when we ran out of energy.
Jenny even suffered another malaria attack due to the late night hours in open air when mosquitos are so thick. With quick recognition of symptoms and prompt treatment with local medication available, she felt better.
Then Pacific Adventist University women's ministry wanted us to present at the university for the weekend after our tickets were to take us home. They were willing to pay for ticket departure changes. There were actually a seats available on the date we needed on the plane. Miracle after miracle happened as we set up there while so exhausted. God blessed there giving energy to do medical clinics and speak 10 sessions starting Friday afternoon and going to Sunday morning. We left quickly on the Sunday flight for home.
PAU also had the red ribbon over them for there was again opposition. The women's ministry director moved in faith, reserving our room to stay in, gave us a car to drive, and set up food. We had a very comfortable place and hot showers to get ready for the long journey home. Again we did free medical clinics as God instructs. He promises that no one will stop your meetings or eclipse the messages if you are doing the work His way. We found 5 in that one weekend who wanted to give their hearts to Jesus. Besides these, there were many who determined to read their Bibles more and daily spend an hour on the life of Jesus.
So many went to the airport with us. There was so much love. They reached out to help with Jenny's school fees and kept putting their Kina in our hands to help her. By the deadline a day after our return, Jenny had the 9,000 US Dollars in Walla Walla University and a new stronger faith in what God can do. She believes that His promise is true that when you lend to the Lord, He gets it back into your hands. He provides all our needs.
