Promised Help in Paddling Your Canoe in Life

These are favorite promises I gathered
during a time of difficulty in my life. I felt like I was in a canoe and the wind was whipping waves against me and I could not make it to any peaceful shore.
Thought you would treasure them. God’s Word has so much comfort!
I call this collection:
Promise Card: Help for Paddling Your Canoe
“Hitherto hath the Lord helped us, and He will help us to the end.” 1 Samuel 7:10
“Look to the monumental pillars, reminders of what the Lord has done to comfort us and to save us from the hand of the destroyer, let us keep fresh in our memory, all the tender mercies that God has shown us --the tears He has wiped away, the pains He has soothed, the anxieties removed, the fears dispelled, the wants supplied, the blessings bestowed--thus strengthening ourselves for all that is before us through the remainder of our pilgrimage.” {CC 364.3} (I composed a song to go with these words written under inspiration by Ellen White.)
“ We cannot but look forward to new perplexities in the coming conflict, but we may look on what is past as well as on what is to come, and say, "Hitherto hath the Lord helped us." "As thy days, so shall thy strength be" (Deuteronomy 33:25). The trial will not exceed the strength that shall be given us to bear it. Then let us take up our work just where we find it, believing that whatever may come, strength proportionate to the trial will be given.” {CC 364.4} CC stands for Conflict and Courage by Ellen White
“The Bible is the garden of God, and here we must learn to gather the roses and the lilies and the pinks of God’s promises, and not dwell on corruptions…RH, Mar 1, 1892, par. 12. Psalms 37:1 Fret not yourself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
*There is a very precious song that speaks to this same thing. It is called God wants to hear you sing. My daughter has a classmate that sings it. We will get you that music.
“God will keep me in perfect peace, if I keep my mind on Him and always trust in Him. Ps. 37:8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. 37:9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. “
J If any lack wisdom, let Him ask of God. …”James 1:5 JStand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Gal. 5:1 HP 146.1 (High Places by Ellen White)Don’t turn back or look back like Lot’s wife. Trust God.
J”Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me Thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.” Ps. 25:4,5 (Heavenly Places 147.1)
J”God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”2Timothy 1:7 (Never mind accusations that your mind is crazy.) (1 Corinthians 1:18 “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” Here is another. 4:10 We [are] fools for Christ's sake, but ye [are] wise in Christ; we [are] weak, but ye [are] strong; ye [are] honourable, but we [are] despised.
J When the enemy tells you that the Lord has forsaken you, tell him that you know He has not; for He declares, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” Heb. 13:5 Dismiss the enemy. Tell him you will not dishonor the Lord by doubting His love…HP 275 (Heavenly Places by Ellen White)
J The Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save nor His ear heavy that it cannot hear.” Nu 11:23; Is 59:1 (Don’t give up praying for those in rebellion)
"SUBMIT YOURSELVES THEREFORE TO God. RESIST THE DEVIL, AND HE WILL FLEE FROM YOU. DRAW NIGH TO God, AND HE WILL DRAW NIGH TO YOU. James 4
When the wind is strong in your face,
When it seems you cannot breathe
or you can not take another step,
God is always available till the door of mercy is shut.
His cell phone # Jeremiah 333  (Jer. 33:3) Call upon me in the day of trouble, and I will show you great and mighty things which thou knowest not"
33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
Psalms 50:15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

I will drink of the water of Life as is expresed in the Feast of Tabernacle story of the High Priest journey to the Brook Kidron (The valley Jesus went through to the Cross). At the spring, the golden vessel was dipped in the water signifying that we can draw salvation from the Rock Jesus. We can have eternal life if we come to the living water (Jesus) We can drink till we thirst no more. Salvation, that living water is free to all who want and ask and go with hands ready to receive. Allow it to change the heart till it is like Jesus.

God says to all of us:  Jeremiah 29:12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find [me], when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
